Please check back soon for more information!

ARTIST GRANT INFORMATION Deadline: 6/1/08
ARTIST TOUR APPLICATION Deadline: 3/15/08
HS SENIOR SCHOLARSHIP Deadline: 5/18/08

The Whidbey Island Open Studio Tour
carries on a long tradition of the Island as a haven for artists. In 2007 over 100 artists and craftsmen open their studios to give the public a unique opportunity to glimpse their creative world. It is art at the source. Painters, sculptors, photographers, potters, glass blowers, woodworkers, jewelers and crafters will demonstrate and explain their creative process during the two days of the tour.

It is not our intention that you visit all of the studios, but rather that we provide enough variety that you can fill two days seeing only the work that interests you.

Art Exhibit
To assist you in planning your itinerary, an exhibit of each artist’s work will be on display in two locations the week prior to the tour. Please check back later for address, directions and reception dates and times.

Grants and Scholarships
The Open Studio Tour is a program of the non-profit Island Arts Council. The funds raised by the tour provide scholarships for high school seniors pursuing college studies in art. It also funds a Visual Artists Grants program for established Whidbey Island artists to assist them with specific projects. Click here for more information on the Visual Artists Grants and here for the Student Scholarship Application.
